Identify the community assets and needs:

 

Interact with all the citizens and locations. Write down what additional information you would like to gather to gain greater insight.

 

Develop an interview guide: How would you introduce yourself during a key informant interview? What other questions would you ask to gain further insight?  
Provide rationale for each question asked.  
Identify the various services and their associated sectors in Sentinel City® Canada.  
Analysis
Map the network or interactions among the citizens and services available to citizens to deepen your analysis of the relationships of the resources and needs.

Describe a collaborative approach with the priority population to address health issues.  

 

 

  • Collaborative partnerships with community members are a foundational competence in working with communities. When partnering with other sectors or groups collaborative relationships will enable communities to take action on issues.
  • Review citizens interviewed in community assessment.
  • Formulate follow-up interview questions for specific populations and relevant sector.
  • Map social networks between citizens and link to relevant sectors.
  • Continue to analyze collected data to deepen your understanding of population health and health equity.
  • Explore how to collaborate with populations and sectors on a health issue.

While listening to the answers, write down what else you would need to ask to obtain a more comprehensive picture. What would your interview guide look like to get more information about the main issues this citizen has talked about? (e.g., homelessness, living with a disability)
  • Review the citizen’s stories and various sectors in Sentinel City® Canada.
  • Complete the Clinical Activity- Working with Community Members.
