PLO- Apply knowledge of healthcare policy, finance, and regulatory environments to advocate for quality health care. • Assesses learning needs of patients, families, and groups • Assesses readiness for and barriers to learning • Documents patient/family teaching • Considers appropriate characteristics in teaching (culture, age, developmental level, and health literacy) • Evaluates learner outcomes, provides feedback, and revises teaching plan as needed • Participates in discharge or transfer of care planning, as appropriate, for the patient • Revises plan of care based on evaluation and consultation
