Man Is The Measure Of All Things

One of the most well known phrases from Greek history is “Man is the measure of all things.” No previous civilization valued the qualities of man, quite like the Greeks. Their expression and treatment of the human figure in art is evident in their sculptures of the male nude free-standing form.

The purpose of this assignment is to gain an understanding of the evolution of the Greek nude, male free standing sculpted from the Archaic to the Hellenistic period.
