please give feedback on Preschool Head Start Classroom

Participating in an engaging classroom is all about the teacher. The teacher is what has to maximize all of her energy and bring it out to the classroom. Some strategies to help me address student engagement are large group activities and small group activities such as art projects, dancing, singing, sensory projects and activities. These different activities help children be engaged in a classroom. Some strategies to help me decrease challenging behaviors and foster more positive behavior are fun rules the children will like and more group structured activities such as sharing is caring or running feet gives you falling feet, playing a game outside, reading time, or art activities. I think being energetic and fun will give the best outcome of an engaging classroom. Things like making games, dancing, singing, playing instruments with all the children in a group is the best way children to become engaged. It is very important to establish rules in the classroom because if any child doesn’t follow they they must face a consequence. In order to have a positive classroom everyone must follow the rules and if anything happens as a teacher we are here for emotional support. In my classroom, I would implement a cozy corner for those who aren’t feeling well or having a rough day. In that cozy corner will be positive images and quotes of emotional support, family, pets, and friends, and it will have books, pillows, and stuffed animals for the child to be comfortable in his/her own little corner.
