In this assignment, we will work with data extracted from a Samsung S4. The data was extracted from the phone by means of the JTAG technique. The extraction process resulted in the creation of a .BIN file.

Extract the image after downloading the file. Use the extracted image to do a new Autopsy case, adding the .BIN file as a data source.

Deliverables:

• Extract three image files from the phone image in Autopsy and paste those image files into a Word document
• Answer the questions below on the same Word document and upload the result
• Use the information you are able to see in Autopsy to answer the questions below

Questions:

• How many calls were placed on November 14th, 2018?
• There was a call placed on November 14th, 2018 at 19:50:33 that had a name attached to it. What was that name? Was the call outgoing or incoming?
• There is a GPS route recorded. What were the beginning and ending destinations?
• There was a video uploaded to Facebook on November 14th, 2018 at 20:24:16. Extract that video and play it. What is the video of? What is heard in the background?
• Extract the largest audio file and play it. What can be seen and heard?
• List five things you can deduce from the data you can see in Autopsy.
