When you consider the etiology of a traumatic response, which psychological theory/theories seem to be those to which you naturally gravitate to help you explain the origin of the response? Which theoretical perspectives are you most likely to question? Why? What is the value (if any) in considering the causes of trauma from multiple perspectives?

After watching the two ACES-related videos, reflect on the following points: If you could sit down and speak with Dr. Anda and Dr. Burke Harris, what would you ask them? What would you like them to examine next in their research that hasn’t been considered yet? What would you encourage them to do, both locally and globally, with the information they have gathered about Adverse Childhood Experiences?
