You see a client who has the diagnosis, Panic disorder. The client exhibits the following emotional responses: anxiety, fear, and terror, as well as the following behavioral responses: hypervigilance and avoidance. Describe the various  Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques you can employ to address both the client’s emotional and behavioral responses.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychological treatment that has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use disorders, marital difficulties, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies indicate that CBT improves functioning and quality of life significantly. CBT has been shown to be as effective as, if not more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications in numerous studies.

It is critical to emphasize that CBT has advanced as a result of both research and clinical practice. Indeed, CBT is an approach for which there is substantial scientific evidence that the developed methods actually work. CBT thus distinguishes itself from a variety of other types of psychological treatment.
