For this assignment, due in Module Three, you will submit a one- to two-page document that will provide a profile of your chosen successful company. This
milestone will serve as a rough draft and must cover the six critical elements described in Part II of Prompt I. You are expected to provide a minimum of two to
three sentences for each of the six critical elements: mission and vision, strategic management plan, organizational culture, decision making, principle of ethics,
and human resources. Instructor feedback should be applied to your Final Project One submission.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

Apple is one of the largest companies in the United States dealing with design, development, manufacturing, marketing, and electronics sales. Apple is an American multinational corporation whose headquarter is in Cupertino, California. According to a report issued by Forbes news in 2015, Apple is the most technologically advanced company with over 50 billion dollars in revenue. The company has more than 1.5 million employees worldwide. The company’s brand is worth 30 billion dollars, making it one of the most valuable brands in the technology industry. The company was ranked position 5 in the 2015 Fortune 500 list (Schoemaker, Heaton & Teece, 2018). The company’s success is linked to its mission and vision and its strategic approach to globalization and technology in its operations. The company’s sustainable management approaches have helped it create a competitive advantage against its competitors. The company has succeeded in the implementation of the P-O-L-C Framework in its management system. Planning, organizing, leadership, and controlling techniques are evident from the company’s vision and mission.
The corporate vision statement of Apple represents its position as the leading supplier of electronics globally. The company objectives and purpose in business are well explained through its vision statement. The company’s corporate vision is to provide a picture of the future target conditions of the business. The company’s vision mainly focuses on strengthening the company’s brand. The company supports its brand by advocating for leadership in the international market while counteracting competition. The company’s vision also propels its strategic management to develop policies to ensure competitiveness against its rivals, such as Samsung, Huawei, Techno, Nokia, and Motorola (Schoemaker, Heaton & Teece, 2018). The company’s vision is built on three pillars: authentic, connected, and distinctive. The company’s vision is to remain the most unique, bonded, and trustworthy brand. The vision statement’s genuine components show that the company focuses on making its products deliver high performance to its consumers. The second pillar, “connected,” indicates that the company is focused on connecting its customers to its effects. The last component, “distinct,” shows that the company is focused on delivering high-quality products.
The company’s mission statement prompts the business to meet and exceed the expectations of its customers. The mission statement of Apple guides it for the evolution of its business. Implementing the company’s mission helps it support its market position as the leading producer of high-quality and innovative mobile phones and wristwatches. The company’s mission is to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world (Schoemaker, Heaton & Teece, 2018). The main components of the company’s mission include “inspiration and innovation.” The company is focused on informing its customers to develop a winner’s mindset through its inspiration component. Besides, the company is also focusing on using technology and innovation to ensure that they are of high quality and affordable.
Some of the fundamentals of management that the company has adopted include ensuring safety and a secured workforce. The company has also confirmed that all its employees develop a feeling of accomplishment by providing adequate intrinsic and extrinsic compensation. According to the previous International Labor Organization, Apple is leading in low turnover and high retention rate. This shows that most of the company employees are well motivated and also have fulfillment in their work (Peñaloza, 2018). Finally, the company has succeeded in ensuring workplace diversity. The ILO report further revealed that the current Apple workforce has about 43 percent women population. The report further revealed that the average age for workers in the organization is between 25 and 60. The company has also succeeded in its role in Corporate Social Responsibility by ensuring that it does not pollute the environment and provides guidelines on its products’ exposure. The company participates in community welfare programs.
In conclusion, Apple is the company that every employee would want to work in currently. The management and the strategies that the company uses have enabled its success.
