Critical Thinking

Consider science as defined in Chapter 5 of our textbook, and the role of objectivity in scientific research. Define subjectivity in contrast to objectivity. How does using objective evidence help scientists find working answers? How might understanding the importance of objectivity help you find working answers to problems of your own and become a better critical thinker in the process?

In simple terms, objectivity is fact-based research whereas subjectivity is more “feeling” based. The use of objective evidence helps scientists find working answers because the studies are done using factual information only, and have no bias or opnionated results. By understanding the importance of objectivity when attempting to find working answers to problems it allows for clearer results because the factual information used while gathering background information remains unchanged by personal opnions, this allows me to be a more capable critical thinker due to the fact that my feelings do not interfer with the information I am seeking.
