Deep brain stimulation ( DBS) can treat Parkinson’s disease (PDS) effectively based on many clinical experiments and reviews. One research for PDS with DBS showed 1. survival rate for 10 year is 51%.  2. symptom controlled is 75%. 3. DBS recommended by patients are 95%. 4. glade with DBS is 92.5%.

1. B.  Evidence of effectiveness for music gait therapy 
Much research has shown that 1. rhythmic stimuli can improve PD patients balance and gait. 2. music based movement (MbM) therapy can treat gait symptoms in Parkinson’s disease, because it includes physical activity, balance exercises, cueing techniques, and cognitive movement strategies while focusing on music and movement. 3. rhythmic stimulation and dance improve cognitive abilities, gait, spatial memory, adjustment and motor control.

2. Teach Mr. Watkins about Parkinson’s disease:
Parkinson’s disease is developed by loss of substantia nigra (nerve cell in the brain).  Substantia nigra ‘s function are dopamine producing. Parkinson’s disease can cause difficult coordination, difficult balance, stiffness, speech changes, shaking and loss of automatic movements.

Other signs of PD are progressing trouble swallowing, changing sleeping habit, depression, anxiety, and medication not working.  At final stage of PD they encounter severe issues of posture in their hips, neck, and back.  They may also have non-motor symptoms, memory problems and bedridden.

Medications helps P.D.s symptoms control, but not healing. Parkinson’s disease can deteriorate in a few hours, a few days, or weeks.  Exercise can improve PD disorder
