The patient is married and has four children. In addition, the patient claimed an 18-pound weight loss over the course of the previous two months, in addition to having frequent urination and extreme thirst, particularly in the late afternoon and early evening. The patient claims that they have not been hospitalized recently and that they do not have any known food or medicine sensitivities. Her most recent menstruation occurred exactly five days ago. About three times a week, Patient enjoys going out to lunch with friends. Because of her hectic schedule at work and with her child, she does not make time for exercise. admits to consuming beer on occasion but denies ever having used tobacco or illicit drugs.
