Healthcare Quality Management Discussion
For each “In the News” assignment, students will be assigned an article to review followed by
some instructions regarding how to specifically analyze the article. Each submission should be a
minimum (i.e., at least) of 300 (but no more than 700) words long, and it must contain at least
two references to substantiate the responses provided. One of the references must be the course
textbook. When inserting references and their corresponding citations, students should follow

APA format. Here is a link to a sample APA paper, but note the cover page is not required for

All submissions must be in MS Word format, and they must be 12 font Times New Roman
(double spaced). No .PDF or .pages format will be accepted.
*Note all work will be compared to assure no “cheating” has occurred. The comparison is not
limited to this particular course, but submissions from past semesters and other courses too. Any
submissions that is not original will be awarded zero credit, and FIU’s leadership will be notified
of the incident.

Prior to the FBI raid, you’re a provider receiving kickbacks from Next Health. You’ve been able
to upgrade your office, invest in more advertising, and increase the pay of your staff. In general,
life is good. Your conscious starts to eat at you, and you want to end the informal agreement.
However, Next Health approaches you with one of the most financially lucrative offers to date.
Do you accept this offer but say this the last time or do you just deny it and move on? Write a
response defending reasons why you should accept the offer and reasons why you should not.
You’ve previously been assured “you’ll never get caught,” and this deal could make you
financially stable for a few years.
