Assignment Instructions

1. Enter Sentinel City^® and meet with Mayor Hill to discuss the subsystem: education system.
2. Take the Sentinel City^® bus tour.
3. As you tour the city, consider the following:
   1. How many public or private schools are there and what is the physical condition of the schools?
   2. Is there an indication that children walk or take the bus to school?
   3. Do parents transport their children to school?
   4. Is there a public library?
   5. Are there public and/or private daycare centers or preschools?
4. What is not apparent that you would expect to see in a community related to the subsystem education?
5. Visit the Sentinel City^® School District for more data.
6. Based on your observations, make two recommendations to Mayor Hill that may strengthen this subsystem and provide an evidence-based rationale for each of your recommendations.
7. Develop an individual and/or community-level intervention related to a health concern that can be impacted by the educational system.
8. Use correct APA format when citing references that support your rationales.
9. A minimum of 2 references is needed.
