Statement of the Problem

Organic farming is considered to work by the nature of its tools that involve method substances in the achievement of good crop yields without harming the natural environment (Guthman,2014). Superior Foods, Inc has been having problems in the effort to effort organic versions that have been known for storage of brad frozen vegetables

Research Method and Sources of Information

Interviews were carried out to different farmers that revealed different perception and desires in organic farming. During the examination of the local farming habits, it was discovered that most of the farmers have less knowledge about the requirements that are needed to have their products certified as organic through the USDA regulations.  The sources where the farm area was being investigated were 50 miles radius in the green wise locations. They made discussions with the farmers to obtain information and understand the benefits of each principle to make an informed decision.

Nature of Data to Be Gathered and Analyzed

I conducted a poll to the community in the farming area through sending a call to most of the local commercial farmers who have been registered with USDA.  An interview was then carried to 30% of the farmers directly. The results were separated out regarding those who did not like organic farming and those that were in support of farming organically.

 

Hypothesis or Hypotheses to Be Proved or Disproved (if feasible)

According to the research studies, it was evident that the farmers were willing to carry out organic farming but did not have the requirements that they would have utilized in organic farming (Smith,2006). They lack the necessarily certified steeps required to offer farm produce that is certified for organic production.  It was therefore realized that assisting the farmers in training and programs that would educate the farmers about organic farming would enhance their effort in organic farming hence increase their future supply. In this case, the company must train the farmers on effective organic farming to increase their supply and the quality of organic farm products.

1. Data showing the growth in the number of companies offering employees paid time for volunteerism over a five-year period

The most effective graphics means the vertical or horizontal bar graph. This is because it is a comparison between many companies that are offering the employees paid for volunteerism in five years. In this case, one of the axes will have categories being compared while the other will represent the value of the compared data (Robbins,2012). The bar graph will compare independent variables of companies’ data that have a fixed value.

1. Data showing the number of downloads from iTunes by media type (music, books, and TV segments) for the past quarter

A pie chart is the most effective graphics means. This is because the media types have been limited and are also used as the subtotals in analyzing greater downloads. This will include the numerical portions of the media type downloads in the iTunes. This is important in showing the relative sizes.

1. Data showing percentage of organizational projects that are delayed, on time, or ahead of schedule

A pie chart is used to show the total number of slices that the organizational projects in the percentage of delayed, ahead or on time.  In this case, the percent of the slices reveal the data in the subtotal analyzing the greater organizational percentage.

1. Growth in credit card debt over the past four years by state

A line graph is the most efficient in showing that the debt is a continuous flow and is not a year to year analysis. This has been used in the visualization of data over time. This, therefore, is important in tracking the timeline in the representation credit card debt growth.

1. Data showing the relationship of the functional areas of a company from the CEO to the vice presidents to the line supervisors

An organizational chart is used to show the levels in an organization and the relationship between the different ranks in job positions. In this case, it is the most effective form of the graph means that can be used to show the functional areas from the CEO to other lines of supervisors in the company.  This chart is significant because it visualizes a complete organization through the picture it represents.

1. Predicted unemployment rate in regions of the U.S. for the year 2015

This can be analyzed through a heat map whereby the regions can be identified through indicators that are colored hence showing the various intensity. This is a dimensional representation of data value that is represented by colors. This provides an immediate visual summary of data through color-coding to give a representation of different values.

1. Instructions for conducting interrogations of employees suspected of committing fraud

A bullet list is important for a step by step to ensure instructions are followed to enhance compliance. In this case, the bullet list is arranged in order of the instructions that are required to be followed from one point to another.

1. Figures comparing the percentage of warranty claims of a company’s three product lines for the past four quarters

A bar chart is the most effective graphic representation for each product line to have a bar that is revealing the percentage of warranty claims. It is important for independent variables of the three product lines.

1. Data showing the number of people utilizing the portfolio option of a financial investment firm’s website. The data should depict the number of portfolios opened by investors in five age categories during each of the past four quarters.

A pie chart is used to represent data in the form of slices. In this case, it is the most effective form of graphics means that is used in representing the number of people utilizing the portfolio function with the slices representing the different categories of ages.

1. Graphic tracking the progress of a product development team working on a new refrigeration product for a 2013 launch date

A Gantt chart is used to show the completion percentage of the overall project and a view of each task specifically (Hanington et al., 2012). The progress of the product development has been utilized to represent the project schedule with finish dates of the summary and terminal elements of the product development.
